I paid $3.99 about three years ago when I bought this rice cooker. I love it, especially to cook parboiled rice. The rice cooks to perfection! I had tried other, more expensive cookers but this is the one that cooks the best rice for me. I recommended it to several of my friends and they are all very happy with this cooker.
Actually, just came to make a search looking for the cooker because a friend that had some rice cooked in this cooker asked me what I had used because the rice cooked so well.
It is true what other reviewer says that at the end of the cooking period, some moisture accumulates around the cover but it is a small price to pay for a rice well cooked!

I RETURN THE 3013 MICROWAVE RICE COOKER BECAUSE I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH IT .
WHEN COOKING THE COVER DID NOT SEAL PROPERLY,WHICH CAUSE SOME SPILLING OF THE WATER.
I PURCHASED ONE FROM PAMPERED CHEF WHICH HAD A PROPER SEAL IN THE COVER AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH THIS ONE.
MY DAUGHTER RECOMMEND THIS MICROWAVE RICE COOKER SINCE SHE HAS ONE.
I PAID $22.00 PLUS 6,25 FOR SHIPPING.
THE ONE I PURCHASE THRU AMAZON WAS ALSO $22.00 BUT I HAD TO PAY $12.00 FOR SHIPPING.
