About Gluten Free Live
Gluten Free Live is designed, hosted, and operated by an old guy with celiac disease named
Steve Rider.
Gluten Free Live exists to help people affected by celiac disease, multiple sclerosis, ADHD, and autism-spectrum disorders by making it very easy to find
gluten-free products, books about health issues and the gluten free diet, and small
kitchen appliances useful to those on a gluten-free diet.
Our role in your shopping experience consists entirely of helping you to find products you want to buy,
we do not stock or sell anything at all. All sales, shipping, and payment for items you select here
are handled by Amazon.com. Gluten Free Live is an Amazon Associate store.
This website can be classified as a web search portal, each time you request a page of product
information our server contacts Amazon.com to get the details, then we format the information
according to our design and send the results to your web browser. Our shopping cart keeps
track of any items you add, and when you choose to checkout we redirect your request to Amazon.com.
Each month the nice people at Amazon.com add up all of the items they have sold to people
that clicked on one of our store or ad links, and based on some complicated math, we get
a certain percentage of the proceeds. We only receive payment from Amazon, not from you,
and you only pay Amazon, not us. Our role is exclusively helping you find stuff and
making it look so nice that you just can't resist buying it. We think we know at least
something about what people with celiac disease want to buy. How are we doing?
Privacy Policy
We don't know who you are and we never will. We do not know your email address
and we have no means available for you to tell us what that might be. We can't reveal
your private details because we will never know what they are. Our privacy policy is "Yes",
we want to respect your privacy by never knowing anything personal about you.
The web server on which this site is hosted does record your IP address, just
as every other web server on the planet also does. A record of your IP address and
the pages you access on this site is maintained automatically by this web server so
that it can be used to track usage trends, troubleshoot problems, and to allow us
to defend the site from the occasional malicious hack attempt. Most web browsers automatically
identify themselves as to what type of web browser they are, which version, and which
computer operating system is being used to run the browser. This helps web servers to
provide you with web pages that you will be able to see and use. There is nothing malicious
or invasive about this process, and it happens on every website that you visit. The
log files on our server are erased on a daily basis by an automatic process.
No permanent record of your visit is retained unless you make a purchase from Amazon.com.
If you add one or more products to your shopping cart and you then select Checkout at Amazon
our store software sends us an automated email that includes the items you selected but
no details about you except your IP address, as mentioned above. This is done for
2 reasons, it helps us to understand which gluten-free or other items our visitors wish to buy,
and it helps us to troubleshoot any problems that may occur. Again, this email does not
include any personal details about you at all.

RecipeZaar Gluten Free Recipes: Lime Sorbet
A wonderfully refreshing, delightfully tart sorbet. Limes always seem to have more than a hint of coconut about them, so teaming this sorbet with a coconut ice cream works well. In fact, if you think about all the other fruits that grow in similar climate and base your ideas on combinations of these, you can't go far wrong. -- posted by Flowerfairy

Technorati Gluten Free Recipes: Gluten Free Friday
I almost never buy bottled sauces anymore, because of the long lists of ingredients, and almost guaranteed use of gluten, corn syrup, MSG, and preservatives. But, we really enjoy teriyaki sauce, so I did a little research and experimenting last week and came up with this. It's easy and tasty - great with chicken and beef. Homemade Teriyaki Sauce 1/2 cup GF soy sauce (La Choy/San-J) 1 cup water 4 Tbsp brown sugar 1/8 tsp ginger 2 Tbsp cornstarch 1/4 cup water pressed garlic, optional Heat soy

Technorati Gluten Free Recipes: Grilling: Sweet Potato Salad
I spent a lot of my winter attempting to perfect the roasted sweet potato. The pursuit of the perfect balance between creamy interior and crunchy exterior proved a difficult one, but alas I triumphed and the experience left me a certified sweet potato junkie. The spring has marked a turn toward greener vegetables, but withdrawal hit me hard this week and I had to return for another taste of the that velvety orange sweetness. Although roasting the ideal sweet potato was no easy feat, grilling

Technorati Gluten Free Recipes: Bacon Friday
Bacon Friday May 16, 2008 by bipolarlawyercook Single serving spinach salad, originally uploaded by BipolarLawyerCook. Last night?s supper, a spinach salad with warm bacon vinaigrette, heavy on the protein. I was feeling the need for minerals and fat? I suppose another sign I am feeling better, and that the horrible carb cravings of medication withdrawal are passing. To make: I de-stemmed, tore, washed & dried some Boston Organics spinach, and topped it with chopped cherry tomatoes,

RecipeZaar Gluten Free Recipes: Fast and Easy Potato Salad
Using the microwave provides a quicker version of potato salad than you'll get from boiling the potatoes. Fast, simple, easy, and delicious! Perfect for those days when you just want potato salad but can't be bothered to make it from scratch, yet don't want the garbage you get at the grocery store. Also great for people living in households where other members don't share the same potato salad enjoyment (my fiancee hates mayo). -- posted by kittyroara

Technorati Gluten Free Recipes: Crispy Low-Carb Tilapia/Marie Rose Sauce
This recipe makes a pan-fried tilapia that's crispy but virtually zero carb (just a trace for the eggs and cream). And, in case you're wondering, even though it uses pork rinds for a coating, the result does not taste anything like pork. This isn't a really original recipe, but I couldn't find a low carb one when I was searching that really told me what I wanted to know, so here's my take on this (and there's a bonus sauce at the end). Technorati Gluten Free Recipes: Another Quinoa Salad (and a restaurant review)
Last night, I threw together another quinoa salad. I needed some comforting, and I knew a quinoa salad would do it. This time, I roasted an eggplant and a couple of tomatoes, tossed in some basil and diced spring onions, and served it up with a creamy lemon dressing. It was good, both warm and cold, but especially warm, I think the cold version could have used some baby spinach tossed in for good measure. It was comforting, but I did still resort to ice cream and hot fudge later in the eveni

Indoor air quality is a hot topic these days? it appears that the air we breath inside our home is 5 times dirtier than the air outside. There are things we can do to help. In addition to opening the windows frequently to circulate air, choosing low or no VOC paints (glues, flooring, etc?), using natural cleaning p
