Worth a try if you're into Odwallas, smoothies, and types of drinks like that. It's tasty and of course it's good for you too.

Mix 1 Berry is chock full of good stuff, including 15 grams of whey protein Isolate, 23 vitamins & minerals, 3 servings of fruits and vegetables and antioxidants equal to four cups of green tea. And it does all this while being completely free of lactose, gluten, soy and Caffeine.
Now that last ingredient, the caffeine, is important to note because for a lot of people, the caffeine and its immediate lift are the point of the exercise: Mix 1 Berry is unlike the run of `energy drinks' that Red Bull started in that it leaves out the Caffeine, Taurine and Guarana that put them on the map in favor of including everything you might put into the world's healthiest smoothie. With Mix 1 Berry , the approach to energy is more a matter of long term investment than the harsh and immediate, lift-and-crash cycle that you find in other energy drinks. In this respect, its ingredient list makes it look a lot like a body-building drink like Muscle Milk or Myoplex.
This means that like body-building drinks, the only things in Mix 1's Berry that provide immediate energy are its 23 grams of sugar and a hefty helping of b-vitamins--which is basically the same wake-you-up chemistry you find in pretty much all ordinary energy- and sports drinks.
The taste of Mix 1, Berry is a matter of taste. Serve it cold and you can say that it is like a container of three-berry yogurt thinned with something until all the yogurt tartness is gone, leaving behind a berries-and-sugar driven sweetness that could make Mix 1 Berry , the perfect skinny Vegan's after-yoga pick-me-up.
That, however, is the best case scenario for its flavor. It must be served cold and you must not read the ingredients ever. Mix 1 claims, that their drinks were formulated by a doctor and, that they are made of all-natural ingredients and this is absolutely true: every ingredient in it occurs in nature--just usually not within miles of one another and reading its ingredients list and serving it warm can make drinking it an adventure.
If you read the ingredients and drink it without having your tongue iced into submission, your brain will register that you are drinking berry juice, sugar, filtered and refined whey proteins and half a shelf of the vitamins and minerals in a General Nutrition Center--with all of it sliding down your throat on a shallow river of olive oil. Served warm, this stuff is strangeness in a bottle.
All in all, like most things, Mix 1 berry is a matter of mood and taste. If you like the idea of a drinkable protein bar with no caffeine or taurine, then Mix 1 Berry, served cold, will be a good experience for you. It might even make a good basis for a vodka-based cocktail, but as an energy drink, it is the stuff of irony: "Serve cold and follow it up with a Red Bull."

I have been looking for the perfect travel meal for myself for two decades now. Requirements: No more than 200 calories, not overly vitamin-fortified, minimum of 14 grams of protein, no artificial sweeteners, no artificial colors or flavors, and tasty! It also needed to be grab-and-go, so no measure-and-mix beverages for me. And non-messy, which eliminated the bars that I like so much. I had found some yummy bars but was always disgusted with myself for not being able to eat one in the car without spotting my clothes.
I had given up. I'd been just sipping tea and hungrily making do. Then suddenly- there it was- mix1. I rapidly scanned the label. Then scanned it again. EUREKA! This could be the ONE. I was SO bummed when I took the cap off and the smell of vitamins was so strong. Happily, it aired out quickly.
I did not like the flavor at all, but had simply tried the wrong one. I am not a big fan of strawberries and that's what it tasted like to me. So strawberry lovers, this one's for you. I found my flavor! Blueberry-vanilla! I really like it and am thrilled to have the perfect car food!
