Misleading calorie information March 31, 2007
Woman Who Has Changed Thousands of Diapers
I love sesame bars and I bought this particular one specifically because it s seemed very natural and had such low calories per bar compared to other snacks.
Well th eingredients are definitely natural and did not disaapoint BUT
What the information here does not tell you is that their are THREE slices per bar. So to compare apples to apple this sesame bar contains:
89 * 3 - 267 calories
and
5 * 3 = 15 grams of fat
and
8 * 3 = 24 grams of sugar.
Sticky sticky.
I would still eat this bar occasionally but I would definitely not stock up. Lots of more healthy bars out there.
Moreover, because each bar has three slices, each bar is very thin (and obviously sticky) making it less tasty (sesame like chocolate tastes better in thicker pieces).
I would definitely pick Mrs. Mays sesame crunch over this any time but it is hard to find in my neck of the woods (Amazon buyers does that give you a n idea:-) ).
