Nutritious, delicious, & great for athletes even young ones May 29, 2008 Food Pal (Washington DC) I bought these for my 9 yr-old soccer player and what a great alternative for the sugary, artifical, junk his teammates eat. They taste great and pack on the energy. After spending an hour or two putting in a great workout, who wants to undo the effect with high-fructose-corn-syrup, hydrogenated oil, and a dozen artificial colors and preservatives. Being always busy and on the move, I am constantly looking for healthy alternative snacks because they often have to fill for a meal. Check out the other healthy chips, crackers, cookies, and treats that I found on [...]. Enjoy!
Betty Lou's Snacks March 6, 2008 B. Morgan (Escondido, California United States) Betty Lou has come up with a great snack. I have tried the COCONUT-MACADEMIA AND NUT BUTTER (PEANUT BUTTER) BALLS. Just enough sweet and protein too. I think they're great!
Great for endurance athletes! September 21, 2007 D. Garrison (Maryland) I'm an avid cyclist logging hundreds of miles a month. I was looking for a whey protein bar without all the calories & added "junk". These are PERFECT! 15 grams of whey protein packed into a very tasty ball with only 190 calories. Aside from the protein you also get 18 grams of carbs & 3 grams of dietary fiber.
These are much less expensive than protein bars & IMO much much better tasting & easier to chew. I keep a jar on hand at home & at work while bringing 1 or 2 balls for extended outings on the bike. What more can I say, I love them!
Substitute for candy: ) September 14, 2007 Brandon (San Antonio, Texas) I cannot believe how good these are, just like clif bars! These are chewy in consistency but will not break your teeth like some granola does. They remind me of raw peanut butter cookie dough, yum!, but they are better for your health.
