5 out of 5 stars healthy & nutricious   July 17, 2008
mr nature (outerbanks nc)
these bars are great for the fast pace family who can't always have a balanced meal. they are especially handy when at the ball field and or on the run to dance lessons they also are rich enough in nutrition to satisfy a adult appetite for a supplementary breakfast or lunch. enjoy!

5 out of 5 stars Best health food bar I have ever had   July 15, 2008
Andrew Corpuz (Los Angeles, CA USA)
The key to eating healthy is healthy ingredients. This bar and its sisters seem to be filled with very pure ingredients (it is a raw food bar after all), and the list is short. You can taste the freshness too.

Yes, as others have said, they are a bit date and cashew heavy, but they are very delicious. I am craving them as we speak. The whole family of raw revolution bars take 1st prize for me.

Pros:
100% guilt free healthiness
Delicious
Fresh Tasting
Convenient Size
Cool Packaging!

Cons:
Price (like health bars in general)
Local Availability

4 out of 5 stars amazing organic bar with no processed ingredients   June 19, 2008

Think of a snack bar without cooked or processed ingredients, and that doesn't taste bad. (If you're used to natural foods already, you'll even say this tastes pretty good.)

Connoisseurs of natural food complain that it doesn't contain that much spirulina, the protein-rich blue-green algae. But this Raw Revolution bar costs just $2 retail, and I can't imagine what a bar of pure spirulina would cost or taste like.

The complete ingredients list: cashew, date, agave nectar, almond, amaranth, spirulina, and sprouted flax. All the ingredients are certified organic, except for the spirulina.

The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because it is very oily. It's not the type of bar I'd keep in my bag and be able to tear open and eat on the go -- there'd be a big slippery mess.

Each bar contains 285 calories, 15 grams of fat, and 7 grams of protein.
