gluten free July 27, 2008 S. Leiker My family (even the non-celiacs) liked this as pie crust (similar to a graham cracker crust) and used in a crumb toping on a fruit crisp. I continue to experiment with different uses.
the best muffins ever! March 21, 2008 Timothy Kimmel This almond flour has been my saving grace! I am on a very strict diet and this is the only flour I can have. Yes, its a little expensive, but its worth it. Its healthy and I have made the best muffins, cookies, breads and pancakes with it. I now have my husband and kids loving all my new goodies as well!!!
EXCELLENT PACKAGING AND EXCELLENT TASTE August 11, 2007 Cynthia M. Ciaccio 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I USE THIS PRODUCT TO BAKE COOKIES FOR MY HUSBAND. HE HAS TO HAVE LOW SUGARS AND ALMOND MEAL FLOUR IS THE BEST FOR DIABETIC BAKING. IT TAKES TIME TO WORK WITH IT BECAUSE OF THE CONSISTENCY, BUT THE FLAVOR IS GREAT. THE PACKAGING KEEPS IT FRESH. THIS IS THE SECOND BATCH I HAVE PURCHASED FROM BOB'S RED MILL. I WILL DEFINITELY BUY FROM THEM AGAIN AND I HAVE RECOMMENDED BOB'S RED MILL TO SEVERAL OF MY FRIENDS WHO BAKE AS WELL. THANK YOU. C. CIACCIO
Great Product August 9, 2007 JenMT (MA) Love this stuff! Buy it and bake with it. Buy the George Stella cookbooks (low carb) for the best recipes using Almond meal.
Where are these almonds from? July 28, 2007 Bonne Maman 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I noticed no enhancement of flavor from substituting almond flour for some of the regular flour. So many recipes call for grinding almonds that I am grateful to have this on hand but I looked apprehensively through the flour at the brown bits to see if they were bugs. This product is expensive and requires storage in the refrigerator.
